The texture is amazing as it effectively masks the awkward powdery texture with the fizziness that adds a bit of creaminess to the sweet. The sour tang and the sweetness also just add to the experience.

Taste and Texture

These are extremely messy when you open the roll but it varies; sometimes the pack is perfectly clean while another time it has an explosion of powder as you open it. Though the text on the tablets is really a nice novelty.

The texture is really great. It's not got the detracting powdery texture as it fizzes up in your mouth. It helps make it feel creamy and remove that chalky drawback. Some of them are amazingly tangy without being too sour. I find that the variety in the pack really help to make them very enjoyable as it is not bland at all. Some are fruity, tangy and some just sweet.

If you do decide to bite into them, I find them to have a really satisfying crunch to them. As you crunch down on them, they proceed to fizz up; very nice. The crispiness is due to the tablet like form along with it being hard. I like to keep in my mouth as the fizziness as it dissolves really feels great when it's slow.

Overall, the Swizzels Love Hearts are a simple yet a great experience. They are fizzy, tangy and sweet all at once. The texture is impressive as it avoids the overly chalky feel that tablet sweets often have by having fizz and softening into a smooth almost creamy consistency. The crunch also adds another layer of texture to the experience. I would generally recommend these; they're just like the Fizzers!
