Seabrook Sea Salted Crisps Review
Posted on October 09, 2025
The Seabrook Sea Salted Crisps cost £1.38 for 6 bags which is quite good value for this brand as it's not a budget option. The crisps don't have any additives or preservatives inside however they are really not the best option in terms of quality. I found that the salt doesn't increase the flavour but intensifies the oil taste from the crisps which feel soaked in oil rather than being drained well before packing.
Taste and Texture
I find that these are a bit saltier than I had expected and it doesn't really result in a nice pack of crisps. They also could have used a lot less oil in these as the salt just exemplifies the oily taste rather than the potato itself. The crispiness is let down by the greasiness of the crisps as they are more oil than crisp. It just gets soggy in the mouth.
My hands feel super oily after eating these and they really are a step back from the quality that you get from the other Seabrook crisps. It tastes a bit like chips that haven't been drained properly after frying; the ones that just soak all the oil and taste like garbage. I feel extremely disappointed in these crisps and this is a flavour that I really won't be touching again.
Ingredients and Nutritional Information
Ingredients: Potatoes, Vegetable Oils (Sunflower, Rapeseed, in varying proportions), Salt.
Nutritional Information per bag (25g): 128 calories, 7.2g fat (0.7g saturates), 14g carbohydrates (0.1g sugars), 1.4g protein, 0.33g salt.
Conclusion
Overall, I found that these are just a total letdown compared to what you'd expect from the brand. While they are priced quite fairly and made with simple ingredients; it just isn't it. The oiliness is overpowering and there's really not that much crispiness to these. The salt is just excessive when it's not really improving the taste of the crisps. It's just unpleasant and greasy.
