Nescafe Vanilla Cookie Dough Instant Coffee Review
Posted on October 06, 2025
The Nescafe Vanilla Cookie Dough Instant Coffee costs £4.50 for only 260g which just seems extremely expensive. However, it does go further than the sachets that you can get from the same flavour and brand. The latte is very sweet so I would also suggest not using as many teaspoons when making the drink with this (and you'll save more money by using less!).
Taste and Texture
I find, when you use around 4 heaped teaspoons for the drink to be a bit too sweet; so, do use 3 instead. That the sweetness just masks the coffee inside of the drink itself. To prevent this, I would add a bit of extra instant coffee though this should have been sorted out by the factory not us, the consumer.
For the cookie dough flavour; I really cannot taste the cookie dough but I can taste the vanilla. It does taste like a really decadent vanilla latte that I can appreciate. The instant milk powder in the ingredients also really does contribute to the heavy frothiness of the drink. I found that it also feels very creamy when you drink it when made from just hot water and no added milk. Though, if you want to make it much better you should use hot milk with this.
I didn't find any grittiness to this coffee when you mix it fully and make sure that there are no floating bits (it does incorporate very well unlike other instant lattes). The texture is very smooth and enjoyable and feels just like a latte that you would buy at a café. Though I do find a slight unnerving aftertaste that tastes strange but that taste dissipates quickly.
You should treat this more as a drinkable dessert rather than a coffee due to the coffee content and the sweetness. Though you can always personalise it by adding more instant coffee or reducing the number of teaspoons you add to the cup to 2 and a half or 3. You can make it more decadent by using a hot milk/cream mix instead of water too.

Conclusion
Overall, I found that the Nescafe Vanilla Cookie Dough Instant Coffee does give an indulgent experience which is both creamy and sweet. This, however, makes it less of a coffee and more of a dessert. It does deliver on extreme frothiness and a rich vanilla flavour profile but the sweetness just overpowers the coffee flavour which makes it best to be enjoyed as a 'drinkable' dessert rather than an actual coffee.
