Kit Kat 2 Finger Nescafe Mocha Flavour Bars Review

The Kit Kat 2 Finger Nescafe Mocha Flavour Bars cost £2.25 and come with around 9 Kit Kats. Unfortunately, if you're actually anticipating something along the lines of the Nescafé Instant Mocha flavour; it's not that. If you're not looking for something that's sweeter than an average kit kat or don't like a strong coffee taste then it's for you. This flavour really depends on the person trying it.

Taste and Texture

After snapping one of the two bars; I found that it releases a nice smell. It smells more of a coffee flavour rather than a coffee mocha though. I can't really smell the actual Nescafé Instant Mocha scent to it at all as I've had that coffee before. Biting into it; it has the signature quick crunch of a kit kat and the chocolate melts well into the mouth. The wafer layer is airy enough and is delightful.

However, I do realise quickly that the coffee flavour punches; it is nice and enjoyable but it does not linger. It doesn't stay; it just dissipates quickly and leaves you disappointed as you would expect the flavour to be much stronger. It is weak. Then you just get the normal plain kit kat flavour which just leaves it much to be desired. You have to eat the bar in quick secession to even enjoy the coffee taste. It is just too subtle.

I guess, it would only be a great kit kat for those who do not enjoy coffee as much as it is subtle enough to make it taste just slightly better than the plain kit kat. Though I won't be buying these again anytime soon due to the lack of strength to that flavour. It is not for those who like a strong coffee taste with a much greater sweetness (as the Nescafé Instant Mocha is much sweeter than it tastes here).

Conclusion

Overall, the Kit Kat 2 Finger Mocha Flavour Bars are decent but just fall short of giving an actual mocha flavour like you'd expect by their name. The texture and crunch are still the classic Kit Kat being crispy, smooth and satisfying but the flavour just isn't as expected. The coffee is just too fleeting and mild especially if you prefer stronger and richer mocha flavours like the actual coffee that is put on the packaging. For those who prefer a gentler coffee taste then it might be for you.
