Jacob's Mini Cheddar Red Leicester Flavour Review
Posted on October 31, 2025
The Jacob's Mini Cheddar Red Leicester Flavour costs £1.75 for a pack of six. They are generally okay but not really the best. It's very salty the more you eat these so at least they stop you from overeating. However, the flavour is much stronger and more developed but the crackers themselves are just slightly soggy and are generally evident of a bad batch or inconsistency.
Taste and Texture
I found that the crackers are slightly soggier than usual with these. Though, that could do with a bad batch. They do have a much stronger and developed cheese flavour than the original cheddar and the texture is like usual if you can get past the slight sogginess if it's a bad batch. I can describe the taste as slightly umami as its also got a bit of sharpness to it, however, it does get quite stronger the more you have them.
I find that the saltiness of these compounds the more you go through them so near the end it gets a bit heavy and unbearable.
Packaging-wise, I don't really think these are the best. The plastic used to store them isn't thick enough which is why I find that they are not the freshest when you buy them. However, the packing is great in one way that it is compact and doesn't really lie to you about how much is inside of the pack.

Conclusion
Overall, I found that the Jacob's Mini Cheddar Red Leicester flavour is just decent. It's not good or bad. It's in between. I give this rating as the quality just seems inconsistent and it's way too salty for what it is. It gets less enjoyable the more you eat them and which the compact packaging is very convenient; the lack of freshness and sogginess just lets it down.
