:Diablo Sugar Free Mint & Cream Sweets Review

Posted on October 16, 2025

The :Diablo Sugar Free Mint & Cream Sweets costs £1.60 and have an absolutely strange taste to them that is unlike other cream mints. Though their menthol power is much stranger than the average and, in this regard, they are pretty good.

Taste and Texture

Given that it's difficult to make a mint bad; I am surprised that they've done it taste wise. These mints have a nice menthol taste to them but there's a taste in the background that just doesn't sit right. The cream part just doesn't taste right; it tastes like cardboard mixed with milk and then you have the strange maltitol taste added to it. The only thing these have going for it in the flavour avenue is that the menthol taste does manage to hide it slightly.

Onto the texture; it's not so bad. It does have a slight creamy texture as it melts in your mouth. There are not really any air bubbles to these mints at all which is a nice change especially as a lot of hard candy tends to have a few air bubbles that end up sharp areas which cut your mouth.

Though compared to other sugar free mints out there; I think xylitol mints are much better as their aftertaste is a lot less apparent. However, I will say that these mints really did give my breath a much fresher smell and the menthol is very strong in these. So, you can definitely use these mints for freshness; you just need to stomach the weird taste.

Ingredients and Nutritional Information

Ingredients: Sweetener (Isomalt, Maltitol Syrup, Acesulfame K), Water, Coconut Oil, Cream (6%) (Milk), Salt, Flavouring, Emulsifier: Soya Lecithin; Colouring: E141.

Nutritional Information per piece (4.2g): 12 calories, 0.4g fats (0.3g saturates), 3.7g carbohydrates (3.6g polyols), 0.0g protein, 0.02g salt.

Conclusion

Overall, I would say that these are a mixed bag. On one hand they succeed in delivering a strong, refreshing menthol kick along with a smooth texture but the flavour is just not there. It has a weird taste to it which is only exemplified by the artificial sweetener aftertaste. If you prioritise freshness over taste then these are great for that but if you're looking for a sugar-free mint that's enjoyable then look for xylitol mints instead.
