The :Diablo Caramel & Peanuts Cookies Coated with Milk Chocolate costs £2.40 for around 100g. It's actually surprisingly not bad at all. It's pretty good compared to the other :Diablo products on the market. There's no aftertaste from the sweeteners even though there is an issue with the slight waxiness to them.

Taste and Texture

These are slightly waxy on the outside which makes it feel less like chocolate and look a bit plasticky; I didn't find anything else bad about these. I'm actually surprised at how good these are especially with how I had found the other products :Diablo has done. The is a great snap to these then the crunchiness of these cookies are super good too!

I also found that the peanut taste masks any bad aftertaste you'll get from the maltitol aftertaste. The inside texture is really creamy and smooth and has the right mixture of salt and sweetness. Though the inside doesn't really have much of a caramel taste to it as the peanut is much stronger, I did find that there was a slight afternote of coconut to these.

I didn't find these to have much chewiness that you would expect with a 'caramel' flavour though but the crunchiness makes this not an issue. I also didn't find them that sticky mostly as they are waxy on the outside and pretty small making it easy to eat without a mess.

Conclusion

Overall, I was surprised by this given how a large number of the products that :Diablo sells tend to be hit or miss. Despite the strange waxy exterior that takes away from the chocolate; the cookies make it up for it greatly with the great crunch and smooth texture on the inside. However, the peanut flavour does most of the lifting as it masks any strange maltitol aftertastes you might find with these. There is also a slight coconut taste to this that is faint.
