Morrisons Lightly Seeded Medium Sliced White Bread Review
Posted on September 19, 2025
The Morrisons Lightly Seeded Medium Sliced White Bread costs £0.79 and comes with 800g of bread which is super cheap for bread! It toasts really well but it doesn't fair greatly when used for sandwiches or dipping into soup (toast it before using it for dipping).
Taste and Texture
On its own the bread is super soft and slightly chewy. The seeds inside of the bread add a slight bit of crunch to it but I find that there's not much seeds as I had been expecting. The seeds slightly add a bit of flavour to the bread but not much as the bread itself overpowers the seeds. But I do admit that the variety of texture is nice. It's quite filling itself and the bread absorbs liquids easily but disintegrates easily in soup which is disappointing. This bread is terrible for sandwiches as it is too thin for usage in them.
As toast the bread tastes really nice. It gets browned easily and the seeds don't encourage burning. The relative flatness of the slices allows for easy application of butter or margarine and jam (or other spreads). The bread toasts well and gets super crunchy and crispy though as they're thin slices the insides are not chewy so you don't get both textures at once.
The bread has quite a bit of salt so I wouldn't take more than two slices at once as it's ultra processed.

Conclusion
Overall, the Morrisons Lightly Seeded Medium Sliced White Bread is a budget friendly option that really shines when toasted but isn't best when used as bread. It's just £0.79 for 800g which gives good value and decent taste, especially with how soft its texture is and the light crunchiness from the seeds. If you're looking for affordable bread that toasts well and works well with spreads then this is a great choice. Though if you want something for sandwiches or to dip with then you're better off looking for a thicker loaf.
