Lidl Snack Day Extra Crunchy Roasted Chicken & Thyme Crisps cost £1.49 for a pack of six crisps. The chicken flavour is actually real tasting and doesn't taste artificial at all. They have a really delectable intense umami chicken flavour which is complemented with thyme and parsley.

Taste and Texture

The crisps are super crispy and crunchy that it feels great when you bite down on them. It has an amazingly satisfying snap and unlike Lidl's other crisps; they are evenly coated which is an instant positive (as they suffer from unevenness in their ranges). These have a meaty umami element to them which is then complimented by thyme then notes of parsley. Very yummy.

When you get to the bottom of the pack; that's where the seasoning has accumulated. So, I suggest shaking the pack when you first get it before opening so that it can reinforce the flavour on the crisps. If you didn't do this; the crisps at the bottom are overly salty which is an issue but it's non-existent once shaken.

The chicken flavour is pleasing and is intense. I am generally surprised at this as it's super enjoyable and most roast chicken flavour crisps don't tend to be this strong. It's an absolute buy, these are.

Lidl Snack Day Extra Crunchy Roasted Chicken & Thyme Crisps is generally better than what you would expect! They are perhaps Lidl's best chicken flavour crisps that they've done and the flavour is authentic and feels quite indulgent rather than artificial which is complemented by thyme and parsley. I found the texture also amazing; it has a bold crunchy texture and the seasoning is actually consistent.
