Lidl Naturis Rejuvenate Super Smoothie Review

The Lidl Naturis Rejuvenate Super Smoothie costs £1.59 and is generally a delightful smoothie to drink. I find it best on the go as it does give me an instant energy boost when tired or after physical exertion. The ingredients are quite clean in this too though there's only a small amount of matcha inside.

Taste and Texture

The smoothie is made from apple, banana, grape, kiwi, mango, cucumber and matcha (though I cannot taste the matcha inside at all). The taste is quite sharp and banana heavy which is then subdued slightly by the strong apple flavour. I found that there are slight notes that appear after of mango and kiwi. The cucumber and matcha are barely noticed along with the grape.

Despite the fruit content in this, I don't find it to be especially complex or rich but it is still delicious nonetheless. The texture is just right (not too thick or runny) however it doesn't feel smooth at all and there's a slight grittiness that you feel as you're drinking it. I suggest drinking it with a straw as it's quite acidic and can probably do some damage to your teeth.

I did feel refreshed after drinking it and much more awake. Despite how unpolished it feels it actually ironically gives it a more homemade feel to it. Which is quite pleasant when drinking.

Conclusion

Overall, the Lidl Naturis Rejuvenate Super Smoothie is quite amazing value; you get around 750ml. It delivers a really refreshing feeling after a sudden burst of the fruit along with helping to make you feel like you've got more energy. Though the texture is slightly gritty and the matcha is undetectable; the sharp fruitiness and banana-apple base make it extremely enjoyable. It might not be refined or smooth like premium brands but it does feel more homemade and authentic.
