Garnier Intensive 7 Days Shea Butter Body Lotion Review
Posted on September 09, 2025
The Garnier Intensive 7 Days Shea Butter Body Lotion costs £2.99 and is quite a great body lotion. Though it does have an awkward uncomfortable stickiness (or greasiness) to it when you apply it to your skin. This goes away after a while. The moisturiser does work when using it for a couple of days, it has helped my skin feel moister and way less dry.
Performance and Efficacy
I found this to have a bit of a sticky residue on the skin after application; the residue does subside after around 20 minutes of application but it's generally not something you want to feel after using a body lotion. However, I found that it's also a super easy lotion to apply onto the skin though it is quite runny which viscosity would've provided a more money saving aspect to this as you'd need to use less.
The scent of the product is quite strong so you just have to endure it while applying it. I did find that my skin felt much softer days after using this especially as my skin is usually quite dry. I also didn't find any adverse reactions to this product while using it but I still recommend doing a patch test if it's your first time using it just to be sure (it's better to be safe than sorry).
I would say that with how you get from the product 400ml it lasts quite a while despite its runniness. Especially at the price it's practically a bargain and I've found myself using this when my body butters run out as a go-to for smoothing my skin.
Ingredients: Aqua / Water, Paraffinum Liquidum (Mineral Oil), Glycerin, Elaeis Guineensis Oil (Palm Oil), Cetearyl Alcohol, Peg-100 Stearate, Glyceryl Stearate, Dimethicone, Olea Europaea Fruit Oil (Olive Fruit Oil), Butyrospermum Parkii Butter (Shea Butter), Carbomer, Zinc Gluconate, Sodium Hydroxide, Bifida Ferment Lysate, Caprylyl Glycol, Citric Acid, Xanthan Gum, Sodium Benzoate, Phenoxyethanol, Linalool, Limonene, Citronellol, Benzyl Alcohol, Parfum (F.I.L B44999/6).
Conclusion
At just £2.99 for 400ml, the Garnier Intensive 7 Days Shea Butter Body Lotion is an amazingly budget product for dry skin. I found that the runny texture does make it quick to spread despite needing to use more. Though the initial stickiness/greasiness is noticeable; it subsides after around 20 minutes and leaves your skin feeling softer and more comfortable after using it for a few days. The strong scent isn't really a great thing with this and I suggest doing a patch test to make sure that you're not allergic or have a bad reaction to anything in the product.
