:Diablo Sugar Free Vanilla Cookie with Cocoa Cream Review
Posted on September 24, 2025
The :Diablo Sugar Free Vanilla Cookie with Cocoa Cream costs £1.90 and is generally disappointing. The texture is like sand and grit while it gets absolutely dry. The biscuit itself smells like play dough and the taste is just bad. The vanilla is not even visible in it at all.
Taste and Texture
The biscuit itself is really crunchy but I found it incredibly dry and that it has a lot of crumbs. It's a bit like you're biting into it and then suddenly a texture like sand comes out. It's texture in your mouth is very gritty too. The vanilla in the biscuit, I found, is not really visible at all. It is there but it's just overshadowed by the cocoa cream filling.
The filling is also really thinner than I had hoped as it really feels cheap but is quite expensive at the same time. It's an incredibly disappointing cookie. The smell of the cookies in the pack smells like play dough and heavily artificial. Which leads me on to thinking that the vanilla flavouring they used was artificial and not really natural. It does mention 'vanilla flavour' and not 'Natural Flavouring (Vanilla)' or anything among those lines.
The biscuits contain maltitol which is a cheap artificial sweetener which causes stomach bloating. The biscuit base itself contains wheat flour which is starch that eventually turns into sugar. It is not 'low carb'.

Conclusion
Generally, for £1.90 this is just absolutely poor value. The biscuit is dry and gritty; the cocoa cream is thin and cheap-tasting and the vanilla is just artificial tasting in both smell and flavour. The maltitol and the wheat flour base makes not 'low-carb' either. It's just unbalanced, unpleasant and something I wouldn't buy again. There are far better sugar free options out there.
