:Diablo No Added Sugar Apple Cake Review

Posted on September 20, 2025

The :Diablo No Added Sugar Apple Cake costs £5.99 and is generally not a great cake if you're looking for something that has a nice moist and soft texture. It is super dry and heavy. From the first bite of this you'll be disappointed and if you check the ingredients on this page; you can tell that it's mostly filler and additives.

Taste and Texture

This apple cake has a very dense texture to it and it's really sticky. I cut into it and it's got some resistance to it and really doesn't have any moisture. It's telling when it starts to crumble up as you cut into it. The central parts of the cake have a bit more moisture as it has the apple filling. The apple filling tastes artificial though and very eggy which isn't a nice taste.

After eating the slice fully, I found it to be very heavy and I couldn't really eat anything more after that. I guess for dieting it's practically perfect as you just can't eat more and it just cuts your appetite entirely.

The cake is more chewy than fluffy and disintegrates; not like a melt-in-the-mouth feel but rather it just turns into multiple pieces then crumbly bits in your mouth. It's not really nice and feels slightly hydrophobic in the mouth. The taste isn't really like an apple cake at all and just tastes like egg; just like the filling itself.

Conclusion

Overall, the :Diablo No Added Sugar Apple Cake is extremely poor value given how its taste is disappointing and the texture is abominable. While it does deliver with being sugar free and low in calories; the dense, dry and artificial character to the cake just makes it incredibly difficult to enjoy. The apple filling does little to make it a good experience and has an eggy flavour rather than an apple flavour. In the end, I find it just functions better as an appetite suppressant than as a satisfying dessert.
