ASDA Roast Chicken Flavour Crisps Review

Posted on September 24, 2025

The ASDA Roast Chicken Flavour Crisps costs £3.60 in the Meaty Variety Flavour Crisps pack which contains around 24 packs. They taste adequately good for a roast chicken flavour pack of crisps but are not as great as the Walkers version of the crisps.

Taste and Texture

The crisps are surprisingly evenly coated which allows the flavour to be consistent in the pack. The taste is generally good though I do wish that the roast chicken was much stronger as it's somewhat weak compared to other supermarket roast chicken crisps. They're not really oily or heavy either too which stops it from being difficult to eat.

The crunchiness of the crisps is great; they are quite thin and there's a lot of sound when you eat them. The quality is adequate as well; there's not really much burnt pieces in the pack so you won't suddenly have 'bad' charred flavours. Though I did find a single slightly green piece which should not be eaten. This suggests that the potatoes are not thoroughly looked through before processing.

They are adequate at best as I wouldn't put them near the Walkers crisps in terms of taste and texture.

Conclusion

I found that these were decent as an everyday filler; as they are consistently coated, nicely crunchy and they are not greasy. The flavour is fine but too mild when it could be much more intense. It's especially not at Walkers' roast chicken quality and the slightly green coloured crisp shows that the quality control is not flawless. If you want a cheap multipack for lunchboxes or just to simply fill the staple cabinets then you can get these. But if you want better quality; you could look elsewhere.
