Aldi Cowbell Semi-Skimmed Milk Review
Posted on September 07, 2025
Aldi Cowbell Semi-Skimmed Milk costs £1.65 for the 4-pint option but the taste, flavour and texture would nonetheless be the same for the other pint options. It has a clean and sweet taste to it. There is a slight creaminess too but it's only really noticeable when drinking a lot at one go.
Taste and Texture
The milk tastes clean and sweet. The sweetness feels more exemplified than in whole milk due to there being less creaminess allowing it to focus more on the casein sweetness. The milk taste itself; is stronger in this way too. There is still a slight creaminess to the milk but it's only noticeable if you're drinking a lot of the milk at one go.
However, unlike farmers milk; Aldi's milk, I've noticed, has a tendency to just go off faster. This milk went off in the fridge around 4 days after we bought it and opened it. Thus, I believe it's best to go for the 4 pints rather than the 6-pint option due to how fast it goes off.
The packaging on these, as I've experienced a few times, is awful. It will explode when dropped which makes it imperative that they are not handled clumsily. The plastic is just not strong at all and is fragile.

Conclusion
Overall, I would say that the Aldi Cowbell Semi-Skimmed Milk is a pleasantly clean milk with a slightly sweet aftertaste to it. It has enough creaminess that it is enjoyable in tea, coffee and cereal. It is also quite affordable however this is might not be an affordable option if you go through milk slowly. It goes off fast when compared to other milks and it's not the best packaging either as it breaks and gets damaged easily.
