Vimto Discovery Zero Mango & Dragonfruit Review
Posted on May 1, 2025
Vimto Discovery Zero Mango & Dragonfruit isn’t really what you would call a ‘limited edition’ product as it has been out for more than a year. So don’t let that trick you into purchasing it. It's also super cheap when bought through clearance! We purchased it through Low Price Foods where it adds up to just 49 pence per bottle (in a pack of six!). The drink has quite a sharp and tangy taste to it and I would suggest pouring it into a glass over ice as I have found it to be refreshing during the heatwave. The carbonation is quite strong in the drink and gives a very pleasant mouthfeel to it overall.
Do note that the flavour is quite light and somewhat weak though—however, I find this to be the pleasant aspect of the drink. Due to dragon fruit being quite a tasteless fruit in general it is ironically quite accurate to the taste. Yet this light taste paired with the coolness of the drink can be a refreshing palette compared to different carbonated drinks.

Though I did find that it has a slightly metallic aftertaste after you drink it for a while. This is probably due to the artificial sweeteners within the drink and I should warn that acesulfame potassium is a controversial sweetener and you should avoid this product if you’re trying to avoid artificial chemicals.
Overall, I would rate the drink a 4.5/5 as it is pleasant and delicious despite the awful slight metallic aftertaste you get from sugar free drinks.
